 Digital Audio Player Pairings

We use our standard 250 hours burn-in for all our earphones and waited patiently before experiencing the waves from Jedrek’s Custom beauties.

Pairing with the HifiMan R2R2000 Player

Slowly becoming one of our favourite Daps the R2R2000 Red along with its PCM1704 black brother are known for their musicality and rich natural signature style which works well with the Craft Ears Four CIEMs, resulting in a spacious, rich signature with slight warmth.

Pairing with the Gold beauty from legendary Sony, the NW-WM1Z digital audio high end player

Another very natural signature with nice high end detail articulation and a more refined layered style.

Pairing with the Chord Hugo 2

As expected the excellent Chord 2 DAC exhibits its reference signature, extremely detailed and refined, slightly more airy but with smooth blended transitioning.

The CE4 was easy to drive and worked well with all the above DAPs/DACs as well as some smartphones we tried, our personal preference being the Hifiman R2R2000 Red and Black Daps due to the musicality synergy and because we have a fondness for the 1702/1704 chips signatures.
