Digital Audio Player Pairings

Let me start by saying the Svanar’s are versatile across many different musical styles but they do require some extra driving power to get their full potential.

Also as the signature is very natural sounding I have choosen to pair with my more musical classic Daps. I would not recommend driving these from a mobile phone or low end DAP.

Also due to the lack of supplied balanced cables I did not cover the balanced cable experience so the out of the box experience could be relayed in thie review.

Pairing with the Altmann Tera Player

Organic smooth rich musical character, very low floor noise and amazing coherence.

Pairing with the HifiMan R2R2000 Black

Natural sounding, solid body with precise imaging and deep bass. Im suspect the HifiMan engineers used these as their reference testing portable source.

Pairing with the Chord Hugo 2

More reference style signature, still smooth but more transparent and greater upper range resolution.
