The product name contains VC, which stands for Variable Concept, this is the centre metal shaft that gives the option to vary the specific height that the ‘resting’ headphones can lower and raise to. You can raise the stand from the lowest height of 26cm to around 30.00CM for the largest height, measured from bottom of the base. You can adjust the shaft incrementally across this 4CM upper height range to suite your specific height of suspension needed for your range of Headphones, as we know Headphones come in many different shapes and sizes.
The build quality is excellent and you can tell that quality control is a major aspect for Room’s audio online, as can be seen with the attention to design aesthetic and precision manufacturing on the FS Pro VC stands.
The stands are primarily 2 pieces the main base and the top curve variable stand, secured by the circular dial which clamps in the bolt, which is rotated by hand when adjusting the stands height.
When an appropriate height is selected, the bolt, when secured is tight and stable, forming the stand into a solid singular unit of German engineering elegance.
Not only are these designed in Germany but they are also manufactured there as well to make sure the highest of standards can be attained.
The earphonia.com team certainly are impressed with the build quality, these are very solid and well made.
The majority of the stand is built from solid high grade steel, which is why each stand is around 1.5KG in weight.
In conjunction with the carefully chosen centre of gravity placement due to the curved aspect to the design, wide base and narrow top, these stands are very stable and there seems no chance of these toppling over.
The underside of the stands have 4 rubber feet, to raise the stand and also provide more resistance to movement.
3 soft foam circular discs are attached on the top of each of the curved top component of the stand.
This tactile soft material has a non invasive grip to help them to hold the Headphones headband in place and avoid any slipping or tilting once the headphone is placed on the stand. These do not leave any residue or debris on the headphones once removed.
