Having supported iBasso Audio for a number of years, it has been refreshing to see them enter the earphone and headphone market in the last couple of years.
They certainly understand their market and always release products very competitively priced and the iT01s newly released earphone is no exception being priced at $199

As shown above you get a lot for the reasonable price point of just under $200, the package includes:

A branded gunmetal style storage hard case is included to protect your earphones for portability.
These having an impressive specification for the modest price.
The shells come in two metallic colour styles, blue mist and smoke grey, we elected for the smoke grey style.
The shells style is fairly small, ergonomically designed for a flush ear Concha aligned fit.
From a design perspective they look more premium than the price point they sell at.
They are beautifully finished with electroplated giving them an elegant metallic reflective sheen style.
As the build is not fully metal be careful not to drop the shells as can get chipped easily.
The accessories are excellent especially the 5N Mono Crystal Copper cable with silver plated’shielding, this utilises an MMCX connector and is balanced 2.5mm connection.
The 2.5 balanced connector comes with a small adaptor for converting 2.5 TRRS to 3.5 TRS, this utilises the same 5N Mono Crystal Copper cable.
Ergonomically the cable has a premium look and feel, movement of the cable is smooth and has a very soft feel with no microphonics.
A lot of audiophile have an aversion to MMCX connectors due to poor precision and loose connections by some manufacturers but we did not experience any issues like this with the iBasso Audio iT01s cable supplied, the connections are tight with no disconnects or drop outs.
We think this cable is really good and could sell for $99 in it’s own in our view, so makes the addition very good. Not only does the cable look lovely but its soft tactile feeling is really nice to the touch and feels nice when worn. There is also a chin slider present.
Another interesting addition is the inclusion of a removable screen that sits on the end of the nozzle, this is not to be confused with being a filter, it does not effect sound signature but is present for removing and then cleaning debris, wax, dirt away to make the sound waves flow as expected. This is a nice touch that iBasso Audio have thought of.
