The team at earphonia.com were fortunate enough to be given the chance to review two of the latest earphone offerings from Campfire Audio, the Polaris 2019 edition and the rich red IO earphones.

Thanks goes to the team at ALO Audio/Campfire Audio for giving us the chance to experience these excellent new products.

As our fans know, we have great respect for the guys at Campfire Audio and their Andromeda, Solaris and Vega earphones really are something special.

Lets jump straight into the Campfire IO  (pronounced Eye O) review:

So what is it you get for your hard earned money.

As you can see the packaging is there new open box treasure style, securely protecting the rich red shells of the IO earphone.

The shell design is classic the Campfire Audio shape that we have all grown to love and made famous with the Andromeda model.

Having an solid aluminium body with a anodized finish in Garnet red with and 24K gold plated screws.

Inside the shells are dual balanced armature drivers with tuned acoustic expansion chamber for the upper end and natural signature character.

Considering this is one of the lower priced models from Campfire Audio, they have not held back on quality, in-fact this rich red style is my current favourite out of all the designs.

The shells have stainless steel spout/nozzle which contrasts well and I’m these will attract positive  interest when worn outside.

The IO is very strong and should last for a number of years if well cared for.

Below is a video showing the shells in more detail from all angles.

A premium leather case is supplied to protect these great looking IEMs when not in use.

The cable has a smokey outer style and is Litz in composition, using silver plated copper conductors with berylium copper MMCX  connectors and a Single ended and 3.5mm Stereo Plug supplied. There is also ear-hook shape without the use of memory wire, which is a welcome feature as I am not a fan of memory wire.

Fit is nice and secure, without and cutout issues when on the move.

The nozzle size has a cleaner less round barrel than previous Campfire Audio earphones,, resulting in a more comfortable in ear fit experience.
