Audeze iSine 10
USD399Pros
- Interesting Striking Design and Solid Construction
- Spacious sound for an in ear monitor
- Good weighted bass quality
Cons
- Cheap feel to the cable and tangles easily
- Fit can be very hit or miss with some probably having a lot of discomfort
- The item itself could be too big for peoples ears for the smaller eared population
I am pleased to be able to review the iSine 10’s as it gives me a chance to bring to people’s attention the amount of flexibility within a plannar magnetic inspired iem, but what is a plannar magnetic iem and who are Audeze.
Why the excitement over the Audeze iSine 10 “ the iem with the open back headphone sound”
First off Audeze are a company who were created back in 2008, with the help of Nasa no less happened upon certain materials that they thought would work well within the audio industry, yes but what is Plannar Magnetic technology over to Audeze to explain:
“Audeze feature proprietary planar magnetic designs with extremely thin-film driver materials and powerful custom magnets. Planars overcome many limitations inherent in typical cone drivers; our lightweight diaphragms are, for example, faster and more responsive than heavier moving-coil or dome drivers. Planar magnetic diaphragm also has a voice-coil circuit spread across the diaphragm surface. The diaphragm’s voice-coil circuit interacts with the magnetic field to produce an electromagnetic force that moves the diaphragm back and forth creating the sound you hear when energized by an audio signal.”
