Campfire Audio Holocene Earphonia.com Review

The shells themselves are the classic solid Campfire Audio shape, popularised with Andromeda range. Close attention to detail has been taken to ensure delivery of a superior musical experience from the Holocene’s. The shells have acoustically an optimized interior chamber design that allows the three drivers to deliver the very best sound quality.

Fit is great and the brown style colour pallet is reminiscent of the well respected and awesome Jupiter model released a few years ago. I have always been a fan of this reserved elegant style, so it was a pleasant surprise to see a new model in this colour.

I think the case will have a polarised response as it is kind of inconsistent with the whole shell style and may be more suited to the bold Red or Blue you get on the IO and Polaris models respectively. So its a love hate relationship with this grinning vibrant case.

The black grill face nozzles are solid and channel airflow effortlessly. The shells themselves do no have a vent hole as is found on some other models but this does not adversely effect musicality and the impact of fatigue on long listening sessions is minimal, so you can listen for hours without feeling strained.
