As our fans know, we have great respect for the guys at Campfire Audio and their Andromeda and Vega earphones really are something special.
Known for their unique design and tuning maturity in the audio circles, ALO Audio/Campfire Audio seem to really know what they are doing.
So we were very excited to be giving the opportunity to sample their new offering, the Campfire Audio Comet earphone. It is really refreshing to see a manufacturer releasing a very modestly priced earphone $199USD, rather than continuing to release higher priced flagships like some other companies.
The great thing is that at this price point these are affordable to most of us out there and will give access to the Campfire sound at a fraction of the usual price. So hats off to Ken and his team for choosing this market audience and making his quality products more accessible.

The cable is Campfire Audio Copper Litz – Copper Conductors with Berylium Copper MMCX and 3.5mm Stereo Plug. Features inline 3-button control with Mic.
As mic is included it looks like these will be smartphone compatible/drive able.

High degree of QA. Each unit is assembled by hand in the campfire workshop by their team of highly skilled craftspeople. From driver to body each component part is carefully examined and tested. After each unit is built, it is placed into a pairing pool, where it finds its ideal sonic match.
Even though these are priced modestly, it is really a welcome sight to see the premium level of accessories included, from cable to case to tips, even down to the inclusion of the drawstring protective pouches. Buying the case and Litz cable alone would be approaching the full retail price of these headphones. So we are really impressed with this audio package, so far.
