Compact Shanling M1 – Chord Mojo stack

I have been playing with this rig recently. The Shanling M1 is a perfect companion for your Mojo, provided you have the right USB OTG cable (micro to USB type-C). I had this cable custom made by Audio Heaven on Taobao, but other solutions are possible. The M1 scroll wheel makes it much handier than the AK100, and the smaller size makes it a clear winner.

Paired with the Earsonics S-EM9 with a DHC Symbiote type 3 cable (with titanium barrel option from Eidolic), this rig is not only small and beautiful, but sounds great as well. It is clearly on the thin / analytical side, and thus quite unforgiving of bad recordings, but otherwise very detailed, airy, with great dynamics. For a smoother experience, I will use the SE846.
